Online Therapy
for Depression, Anxiety, & Burnout

“I’m not myself”

How long have you felt hopeless… numb… sad… disconnected? When you’re depressed, daily life can feel exhausting and pointless. You feel like you’ve lost yourself—and maybe you don’t even feel sad about it anymore.

Then, when you think about counseling, you might imagine someone telling you to just look at it this way, or just be reasonable, or just do self-care. (Yuck, right? If it was that easy, you wouldn’t be having this problem.)

An inner voice might already be telling you that you’re failing at things that are so simple for other people. The shame speaks up easily, and goes deep.

“I’m overwhelmed”

Aside from depression, maybe you feel low-key (or high-key) anxious all the time. Maybe your brain won’t shut up, or your body is on edge for no reason. Whatever it is, you’re pretty sure nobody else is dealing with this—right?

If you experience anxiety alongside depression (as many do), sometimes anxious energy might feel like the perfect antidote to the way depression freezes you up. But then the anxiety brings its own problems, so you’re drowning in a whole different way. Maybe you meet deadlines, but can never pause to relax, or you’re scared and irritable for no reason and nothing takes the edge off. It may even escalate into panic attacks or anxiety attacks.

“I can’t handle anything anymore”

Your energy is gone. Your senses are going haywire. You can’t think straight or enjoy your passions. You feel like you’ve lost yourself and your disability is at a new level. Neurocognitive burnout is a daily battle, and you’re not alone.

“I just want it to end”

When life faces you with these and other challenges, sometimes it begins to feel like you just want out, and thoughts of suicide or self-harm start showing up. Dying may be just a fantasy—or maybe it becomes a plan. Or you might have urges to hurt yourself when things get bad, but it’s not about trying to die.

Many people fear extreme reactions if they tell someone that they experience thoughts of self-harm or suicide. You might have had such painful reactions to your own confession in the past.

You don’t have to be stuck and alone.
There is help.
